Technology room upgrade ready for 1st day 2026!
One of the NZDUCT+FLEX install teams have just left Mt Aspiring College with fume extraction for their welding area ready for the new school year.
The Project: Wanting an upgrade, Scott Saunders from NZDUCT visited the school and suggested a GEOVENT Fume Filter, complete with compressed air cleaning and available with a choice of cartridges to suit welding/laser cutting/plasma/grinding as well as small dust loads. A 2.2kW OSKAR Fume fan was top mounted for this filter, but if placed inside a workshop, there is a model available which includes a fan, acoustically housed as an all-in-one unit: saving space. When installed outside, these Fume Filters should be weather protected, as in this case under the roof overhang.
To accommodate the useable working space available for the students to weld, 2x OSKAR Fume Arms 160mm/4m were mounted on a post. With a large range of LIPLOCK ducting and accessories already in stock, NZ DUCT can respond to any situation. The arms are robust industrial grade: perfect to withstand the school environment!
NZ DUCT installed the filter for the Woodworking room over 12 years ago and have continued to visit the school to make adjustments when layouts changed, due to new machines being added, (never a problem as LIPLOCK modular ducting is all reusable unlike cheaper options), A NZ DUCT Maintenance team offer annual maintenance inspections to ensure any installation is running as efficiently as the day it was installed.

The Result: A better safer working area for staff and students alike, and a well thought out solution that is future proofed, from a company that only provides quality European manufactured products and can always supply spare parts if required.
