Foundries produce not only fumes and very light dusts but also lots of heat! You need good extraction and plenty of it to help keep the staff dust free and cool. Methven are famous for their innovative bathroom products and the company replaced two old competitor’s filter units with one of our DustStorm units. Critical to the selection was the life of the filter cartridges, the old ones were being replaced every 18-24 months at a cost of several thousand dollars for each unit.
After 5 years, the DustStorm 20 unit we supplied has the original filter cartridges operating, still looking like new even though their cleaning has used only a tiny fraction of the compressed of the old American filter units.
So impressed were Methven that they have now ordered a new additional unit – just 3 times larger - and are now a 100% JKF / Duct+ Flex site.
